Still riding high on the "I'm really impressed with Dredd, the recent movie," I have decided to draw some more judges, just because they are nifty, and because I think it could be fun to draw a few pages worth of a comic involving some.

I do know the basic premise of the movie, though I've yet to see it. What did you like about it?

Unlike a lot of modern action movies, it doesn't try to do too much. The plot does not involve the end of the world. It is well executed action mixed with dialog, story, and some really very well compiled cerebral shots. The dialog as a whole is very good, sparse from our (anti)hero, but it should be. They do a surprisingly good job with the Judge Anderson and Judge Dredd dynamic... and its pretty in a cinematic sense. The look is very well done and very appropriate. Though it is sort of an unrelentingly brutal movie, in terms of violence, it plays it off a little differently and... it really just feels like a realistic exploration of a day in the life of a Judge.
